Hi, I am currently freshman. I am studying in City College of Technology of NY. by Misunderstood, I declared my major as Computer System Technology but right now I want to study in CS. Right now I am confused that should I do associate at this college and then transfer to different college for BS or transfer right now because City Tech doesn't have BS for CS major? I little worry because I screwed up on SAT. Please suggest me what should I do.
Thank you in advanced

I would dump all this on your counselor at City and see what they say. Just because they dont offer a degree doesnt mean you cant take classes that will transfer to another school. As long as you have a plan for where you want to transfer and they take the credits you can do a 2+2 and get your CS degree.

You deffinitely want to get a 4 year degree. There is much more opportunity and money than the 2 year. If thats your plan getting an associates degree doesnt help you much. I would again focus on where you can transfer to. GL.

I talked to my councilor. He said that if do associate here now then another CUNY college will accept all credit when I will admit for Bs degree. Other wise they might eliminate some credit.

That is certainly a path that can work for you. Make sure your counselor knows you want to get a CS degree in 4 years. My concern would be the programming sequence…you will want to complete the entry level classes to your major before your Jr year.
