Which college would you chose ?

Say you wanted to study computer science and you were admitted to both MIT/Berkeley/Stanford and Cambridge University (UK). Which one would you choose to go to?
MIT/Berkeley/Stanford all have a great reputation in CS, but so does Cambridge. Moreover, Cambridge is far less expensive than the colleges in the states.
So, what do you think?

I would definitely go to Cambridge.

definately the 3 american university for me

haha do think of job prospect for money's sake, haha especially for CS, the 3 US graduates in CS will definitely land a job with google, or IBM or microsoft!! the pioneer and leaders of CS, Cambridge? yeah still famous but... not as advantaged as a stanford grad to be hired by google or apple. right?

Not sure. If you didn't know, Microsoft has some sort of location just in Cambridge. There is a lot of stuff going on...also, there is some sort of "Silicon Valley" in Cambridge, too.

computers... berkeley... alum network.... NoCal... silicon valley?

Anybody else except me who doesn't understand zules' intention?

Definitely the american universities, if i'm able to afford it.

Even Berkeley? I mean, undergraduate education at Berkeley has not a thaaat good reputation in the US (huge classes).

yeah ur right.. maybe not berkley .. but the other 2 for sure.

Definitely Cambridge. I am an Anglophile....hehe

Actually, for a non-EU student, Cambridge is not that much cheaper than Stanford or MIT and may be even more expensive than Berkeley. Anyway, if I wanted to major in CS, I wouldn't choose any of the schools listed above. I'd go to Carnegie Mellon instead.

It depends what you want. They are two completely different systems, each with their pro's and con's.

Are you kidding? Don't get me wrong, Carnegie Mellon is a great school for CS, its program is renowned. However, the top three schools are still MIT, Stanford and Berkeley.

Cambridge... but only because im from the US and going to university outside the country would be most interesting ;-)

Cambridge's tuition is around 9000 Sterlin Pounds per year (~18 000 dollars) while Stanford is 33 000 dollars...

MIT of course
