Im planning on going on exchange from Australia to America for a semester.
Could someone please give me some advice on what uni to go on exchange to in regards to:

1) social life, really want to go somewhere with a great social life
2) party scene, definitely wanna party hard
3) academic strength, somewhere half decent will do
4) location, warm please
5) expenses, cheap too
6) has to offer economics and/or finance/business

Basically the main priorities are social life, party scene and good looking girls. Really wanna experience the party culture of US colleges. Ive looked at UCSB and it looks alright. Also at university of Miami and University of Arizona. Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Does your school have a list of approved schools that you can study abroad at? Based on your criteria, here are some schools that might match your criteria:
UMiami
University of Florida
Florida State
San Diego State (not the best academics)
University of California - Santa Barbara
Tulane
University of Southern California
UCLA (not a party school, although like at any school there are parties)
UT Austin

If you’re willing to go to places that don’t have balmy weather, you’ll have more choices.

Unless you want to go to the bars or some clubs, the 21 drinking age is poorly enforced on most college campuses. Also, Americans love Australian accents and you might find it easier to get invited to bigger parties, particularly if you play the foreign exchange student card.

Most upperclassmen don’t live in the dorms although many live in college owned apartments. Costs vary by universities and types of living arrangements (eg, what building, how many, if any, roommates, etc). At most colleges, a fairly significant portion of non freshmen and sophomores live off campus, although they often live in apartments geared towards the college aged crowd.

In alphabetical order, here are some schools on the list that satisfy most/all of your criteria.
Emory University - Goizueta Business School (very strong academics, relatively warmer weather, but it’s not as big of a party school as some other schools on the list. There are plenty of parties that occur, but the scene isn’t as massive as some of the bigger state schools)
Louisiana State University (hot weather, party school, but I’m not sure about how strong the academics are)
University of Arizona (seems to fit all of your criteria)
University of California (UCSB, UCLA, and UC Berkeley would all fit but the latter two might be extremely competitive to get into owing to their international renown)
University of Colorado (great skiing, party school, good academics)
University of Georgia (party school, solid academics, Athens is an isolated town though)
University of Miami (seems to fit all of your criteria)
University of Michigan (very cold weather, excellent school)
University of North Carolina (only if you can get into Chapel Hill)
University of Texas - Austin (seems to fit all of your criteria)
University of Washington (cold, but right outside of Seattle. Excellent academics and a solid party scene)
University of Wisconsin (very cold, party school, good academics in a great college town)
