<p>I am looking for the best colleges for a double major in mechanical engineering
and business administration. The engineering part is more important to me but
I still want to go to a school with a very good business program as well.</p>
<p>I know that MIT and Stanford offer excellent programs in that field.
But what other schools can I consider for these majors?</p>

<p>Penn (Jerome Fisher Management & Technology) doubles a Penn engineering degree with a Wharton business degree. Lehigh Integrated Business and Engineering is a distinct integrated degree rather than separate degrees. Both are very competitive honors programs. Dartmouth engineering degrees are often modified with economics as a minor or dual major. See the school websites for details.</p>

<p>Simultaneous Bachelor’s Degrees from the College of Engineering and the Ross School of Business
Students originally enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in the College of Engineering who are admitted to the Ross School of Business may obtain degrees in both simultaneously by enrolling in the Multiple Dependent Degree Program (MDDP) that has been established between the two. This program is designed to allow students to develop a course of study that offers broader academic opportunities than would normally be possible by enrolling in only one college. These combined degrees are open to students initially enrolled in Engineering who are accepted into the Ross School of Business BBA program. Contact the Student Records Office in the College or School to obtain the application form.</p>
<p>Remember too that Michigan is very strong in BOTH engineering and business, not just one or the other.</p>

University of Wisconsin-Madison</p>
<p>Columbia University, Northwestern University, Princeton University, Rice University and Stanford University all have excellent Engineering programs, but no Business programs for undergrads. However, if you are willing to double major in Engineering and Economics, those are also excellent options.</p>
<p>Please note that double majoring in Engineering and Business often takes more than 4 years. It can easily take 5 years, unless you come in with a load of AP credits in Calculus, Chemistry and Physics.</p>
<p>Finally, somebody mentioned the Jerome Fisher program offered at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton school. That is an excellent program, but it Penn is not an Engineering powerhouse, nor is the program as techie as one may wish it to be.</p>
<p>USC probably has good combination of engineering and business.</p>
<p>RPI too offers engineering+business.</p>
