Famously??

^ Ha! I love this guy.

NC State is 24/7. I know because I’ve pulled all nighters to finish my IB term papers haha.

^^^ They are rather proud of the fact, as it no doubt contributes to the ability of Reed students to survive their courseload. Before this thread, Reed was the only school I knew of that had a 24/7 library (and said so in marketing materials).

Yeah, but think of who they’re marketing to. SMU is going to brag about how many Ferrari’s there are on campus. Harvard is going to brag about their fabulous alumni. Baylor is going to brag about how all of their students get married and live happily ever after. OU is going to brag about how OU season tickets are the 4th most-contested thing in divorce court. And so on.

That doesn’t mean Ferrari’s don’t exist elsewhere, that other schools don’t have fabulous alumni, that the students at other schools don’t get married, and that other schools’ season tickets aren’t contested in divorce court.

My point is just that having a library open all the time is not that big of a deal…in fact, it says more about libraries that AREN’T operational at least 24/5.

A family friend told me UVA has a 24/7 library

The Ohio State University - Science & Engineering Library open 24/7.

Do you know what ‘famously’ even means? Gosh

"A family friend told me UVA has a 24/7 library "

7 days? What is the name of that library?

No, what does it mean?

Penn’s Van Pelt library isn’t 24/7 but the ground-floor area is, as is Huntsman Hall.
