Which colleges have nicest dorms...

Just wondering which of the colleges on the east coast have the nicest dorms from what you have heard or seen...

Smith has a lovely house system -- from what I've seen, the rooms are quite spacious.

Princeton Review has lots of different kinds of rankings...here is their list of colleges with the best dorms

<a href="http://princetonreview.com/college/research/rankings/rankingDetails.asp?categoryID=6&topicID=47%5B/url%5D">http://princetonreview.com/college/research/rankings/rankingDetails.asp?categoryID=6&topicID=47</a></p>

Although the list isn't just limited to the east coast.

Can you post that list? you need to sign in to see it and I have no account.

Harvard has pretty nice dorms, i thought.

Well... except for the asbestos....... :o

i heard wellesly. and other lacs

The schools with the nicest dorms seem to be the ones that need to work harder to attract students. LACs rated below 25 tend to have great dorms. And I second the women's colleges.

Some of Yale's residential colleges are really nice.

Princeton's list of the 20 best from the link I provided earlier...posting the list upon request!

16 Bennington College
17 Bowdoin College
18 Williams College
19 New College of Florida
20 The George Washington University

I'll second Bennington--two streets of white clapboard houses with hard wood floors and big windows. Each common space has a piano, big comfy couches and a fireplace.

Bryn Mawr doesn't have nice dorms. I've stayed in one before, and it was really old.

UC Merced is said to have really nice dorms. Then again, being a new University, they are brand new, and built more a suites than residence halls.

The undergraduate dorms at U of Texas-Arlington are reportedly the best in the state.

I thought Bryn Mawr's dorms looked nice. I only looked in a couple, didn't spend time there. God, and the food was wonderful!

Among the Ivies I visited I think Dartmouth and Harvard were the best. Brown's were also nice.

Bryn Mawr's older dorms are gorgeous and oozing with charm. And if you like modern, they have Haffner and Erdman.

Erdman is disgusting... The inside especially. It's all concrete walls. Haffner isn't too great either. All old and only nice on the outside.

Harvard's dorms are VERY nice though.
