Since a student majoring in computer science at either a LAC or a university – even a technically focused one – may typically take ~15 CS courses or fewer, Swarthmore’s 20+ course offerings may provide the opportunity for an equivalent CS education, amid a general enviromment that is particularly appealing to some students.
One of my ex-boss went to Swarthmore engineering I think. He ended up led a startup to sold for billions. This was back in 2000 when billions meant something for a company’s valuation. Not the Uber’s valuation like today.
