My dream would be UCLA, but i'm unsure of getting in :(

What is your planned major? What can you afford? Do you expect to be eligible for need based financial aid? What is your home state (I can it is possibly California, but please confirm)? What do you like about UCLA? Are you male or female?

If you are applying to the UC’s you need to calculate your UC GPA: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Yup, i just checked, and i calculated it correctly. Also @intparent‌, I plan on majoring in a field related to physics, probably something in energy. I can afford 36k per year. I don’t think i’ll be eligible for financial aid, and yes i live california. I like UCLA because it reminds me of my high school, which is competitive, and it accepts my college classes and ap tests. I’m male

If you are looking for safe schools, and like UCLA (where I think your chances are decent, but not certain), why not apply to other, less-selective UCs? I would see UCSD and UCSB as matches for you, and UCSC as pretty safe. Davis is also a match. CalPoly-SLO is probably a match, but you have to declare and apply for a specific department - some are much more selective than others.

Thanks @woongzmama, You say that specific departments are more selective, does that mean a physics/engineering major will have a harder time getting in?

I think that you should consult directly with CalPoly-SLO. I think that Engineering and Computer Science are the most heavily “impacted” majors, other than the very elite Architecture program. Physics might not be quite as much, but don’t take my word for it. There is probably a thread for CPSLO on CC.
