Most colleges do not superscore the ACT, quite a few superscore the SAT. WashU superscore the ACT; thats all I know on top of my head

i emailed abunch of colleges and asked if they look at highest subscores (which is kind of like super scoring)
most said yes

i.e. nyu, u chicago, wash u, brown, northwestern

Is superscoring taking the highest score from each section and putting it into one "composite" score?

Yip that's superscoring.

sweeeet. Thanks!

I have a 34 33 26 28 from eighth grade, and I'm taking it again in February (I'm a junior), so superscoring will help, because I'll definitely do better on the math section.

super scoring is like
they look at ur highest subsections
its not necessarily that they give you an entirely new composite.
if that makes sense

your 8th grade scores don't count because you didn't take them in high school.
(thats how it works for SAT at least, somebody correct me if im wrong)

I called and asked UChicago.
They look at the "highest" composite score.
They said they "don't" superscore ACT.

Dear Dietcoke (real name here),

We take the highest scores from each section.

Does the University of Chicago "superscore" ACT and/or SAT scores? That is, are the highest scores from each section taken to formulate a new composite score? Or are scores considered on a "one-sitting" basis?
