Which colleges would realistically accept me?

RPI is definitely a good option with that 34 ACT score–I especially like your 36 on the science section btw. They even surprisingly have some interesting music options (and a great performing arts center).

And I think you should add WPI (Worcester Polytechnic) to your list.

You need to go on some of these colleges’ websites and look for their net price calculators. Have your parents help you enter your family data and see what might be affordable.

Something to consider if you’re set on Aerospace Engineering is UA Huntsville. It’s not a glamorous campus but it is the home of NASA. You would be eligible for a full ride scholarship (full ride not just tuition). It might be something to consider as a safety.

Thanks everyone for all your opinions. It’s really helpful. Looking at your recommendations, I like RPI, CSULB, and UA Huntsville.

If I end up going to grad school to get a master’s, would my undergrad school be as important?

If you mean the name of the school, no. The quality of the department and academics matters and isn’t synonymous with prestige or name.

In your case I think you can have both, @Brickmaster7398. If you choose RPI, for example, you will receive a substantial education and a nationally recognized degree. If you like numbers, you would be attending a college with the 37th highest SAT scores in the nation. That should be enough to impress mere mortals.

Embry-Riddle Prescott is also excellent for AE. Small population, tight-knit student body, beautiful location, and great labs and facilities.

Cost will be comparable to OOS public schools, probably cheaper.

Thanks again everyone. I’m beginning to really like RPI.

So I got a 780 on Math 2 and a 720 on Bio E. Are these scores good? Does that change anything for better or worse?
