Which Continuing Education Program?

Hi guys,

I am currently an undergraduate at SUNY Stony Brook who has taken a leave of absence due to family obligations and the need to support them financially. It has been 3 semesters since I have enrolled for courses. I have a 3.8 gpa and am half-URM
I was thinking of applying to continuing education programs at Columbia, NYU, and Rutgers.
I am a pre med student who has finished all of his prerequisites but cannot re-enroll at Stony Brook. I, therefore, must apply to a continuing education program.

From the above three programs (NYU, Columbia GS, Rutgers) which is the best option for me?
- For a pre med student?
- Someone without much money to spend?
- How is the financial aid?

I am currently working in research lab at Mt Sinai School of Medicine and hope to continue if possible.

Thanks!!

NYU-SCPS doesn’t have a pre-med school or course. At most it would be hospital management and that is more related to business administration. I’m applying to Paul McGhee for the fall. Columbia GS will bankrupt you along with the cost of living.

Maybe consider other schools? SUNY has several.

Empire State College is very affordable and flexible. $3-4k a semester full-time load. Online, regular classroom, seminar setup, individual one on one, weekend, night and it’s 4-5 terms a year. Can’t beat that right? It’s the adult learning continuing education program within SUNY. It’s all over New York and I heard it’s decent. Why not try them for your pre-med?
