Which Cornell Institute Do I Apply too?

with a 3.35, it’s gonna be pretty tough. SAT score is pretty good, and while it can compensate for some weak portions of your app, I’m not too confident it will overturn a 3.35.

Thanks! Out of curiousit, how did u reach that # CayugaRed2005?

Oh, and should I bother applying early or would it be a waste?

Have you considered applying to primary/alternate college for Cornell? Have you taken a challenging course load?

Somewhat, I’m taking 4 AP classes next year.
For the past 3 years, I have taken :
Honors Geometry
Honors Physics
Honors Forensics English
and will take
AP environmental science
AP Statistics
AP Calculus
AP Liturature
and perhaps
AP economics (micro)

with that said, would ED be worth it? Or should I EA to georgetown and UChicago instead?? Those three schools and Brown are my dream schools, where I would be very happy. Brown, is kinda out of reach, but the other three, I’m still trying to get a game plan down.

What’s your class rank? In other words, how good is a 3.4 GPA at your school?

Unless it puts you in the top 10% of your class, I’d say that your grades are on the low side for all of the schools you mentioned.

That doesn’t mean you don’t have a chance, but I don’t think you can rely on your test scores (or ED) to get you in.

How did you do in the college courses you took at Brown? If you did really well, that will help because it shows that you can handle college level classes. While ED or EA is not easy at any of the three schools, applying ED or EA can help. ED acceptance rates at Cornell are significantly higher than RD acceptance rates. I don’t know about Brown and Georgetown.

I took the courses at Brown and got a B in principles of economics, and I got a pass out of pass/fail in a academic essay course. I dormed at brown and got credit for both courses. Any help there?

I would say ILR for prelaw/buisiness

From what you want, I think ILR is perfect. Half of the people from ILR go to law school, and many of them take a load of business courses.
