If I'm transferring schools next year, and I plan to complete my junior/senior years at the new school, would I use my current school counselor for my counselor rec when applying to colleges? Or would I use the new school's counselor? I ask because I'd really like to use my current counselor because she LOVES me; my new counselor may not like me as much.

Most likely the second. Your school report (including the school profile and counselor rec) would be provided by the school you are currently attending. Depending on how your new school gives transcripts, you may have to submit a second transcript or school report if the information from the two schools is not merged.

You will need the counselor at your senior year school to complete the school report. Adcoms will see that you transferred and understand you don’t have a 4 year history with your new counselor. Recommendations and references from frosh/soph years don’t carry much weight with admissions, so you’ll want to work on making connections next year with your teachers and counselor at your new school.
