Which courses go towards you BCPM GPA?

Hey I was wondering which course other than BIO XXX, CHEM XXX, PY XXX, or MA XXX that would be calculated into your BCPM GPA. Does Statisitics count? does microbiology count? If someone could give me an in depth explanation that owuld be awesome.

Any course taken from the “math” or “biology” departments would count so that would include the two courses you mentioned as well as genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, etc.

Here’s the official AMCAS course classification guide:

https://www.aamc.org/students/download/181694/data/amcas_course_classification_guide.pdf

Also statistics regardless of what dept it’s listed under counts in the BCMP.

If you have a course that is NOT listed in the classification guide, then if you can include in the BCMP if it has substantial BCMP content. However, you are required to provide AMCAS with an official course description from your college’s course catalog to support its inclusion. AMCAS will either accept its inclusion or not. If AMCAS decides against the class, you have the right to contest the decision. However, geting the dispute settled may take weeks and delay your application’s verification.

What about nutrition?

^^

Sounds like a “Health Sciences” course.
