Which courses will almost certainly transfer?

D was waitlisted at the only school she really wants to go to. She is debating going to school #2 or #3 for a year then trying to transfer, or staying home and going to community college for the year and then transferring. All schools involved are in different states. She's thinking it only makes sense to spend the bigger money on moving to and taking classes at school #2 or #3 if those courses will transfer to her dream school next year. How exactly does one determine if a course will be credited at the transfer school? Thanks.

If it's a LAC they'll only take LA courses. I do know one thing, they won't do a credit evalutation until after you're in. Gen ed's are usually safe. I'm trying to to transfer with 64 hrs but I'm not too worried about how much will transfer. Just part of the game you have to play if you want to transfer.

I agree.

I don't really know much about transferring. But, I have pals who have transferred to my University. From what I can gather, the totally tried and true Gen Ed classes more or less transfer. Please think of saving all syllabi and professor contact information if you have to dispute anything simple.
