My son applied Columbia College's ED, when can we heard the result? Thanks for your input! : )

mostly likely dec 10 at 5 pm. it was that case last year

Thanks for the reply good4college.
That greatly helps to ease the stress. =]

Two years ago, it was December 11 at 5:00 eastern time.

@pbr. So around what date and time is it then?

Seems like always the second Thursday of December.

@Light. Are you sure?

that might make sense. again, relax, that would only be a day away.

When I completed the CSS Profile for financial aid, it said at the very end that admissions decisions come out on December 9th, the second Thursday of December. So that’s consistent with what everyone else is saying. And it’s been out at 5 p.m. EST the last few years…so, December 9th at 5 p.m. EST :)

Okay thanks. I guess that’s the date I gotta look forward too.

I swear I saw a post somewhere else that said so many people logged on last year at precisely 5PM that the system crashed. Wonder if that will be the same scenario this year?

December 15th Columbia Decision

It’s the second thursday of december, which is the 9th

The site went down for a minute or two due to the volume, but it was back up within five minutes. I’ve seen worse since I came to Columbia. The World Leaders Forum registration site once went down for almost 15 minutes while everyone tried to register for Al Gore’s lecture the next week.

2 more weeks of waiting

Ahhhhh! I can’t take it anymore

Thanks for all of your reply, but I still confused which date will be notice the ED result? December 9? December 10 or December 15? : ) )

^ nobody knows for sure yet. any dates are all speculation. some say that when they submitted their CSS profile it said the 9th, but that it tentative because…some people did not see that. i didn’t. so i know i’m not the only one.

the only solid date we know is the 15th, and that’s supposed to be when the ED decisions will get in at the LATEST. dec. 9th is also supported by the fact that for the past two years the decision has come out on the second thursday of december. but, again, it’s just speculation. there are a lot of reasons why it might be different this year.

tl;dr there is no solid date confirmed by columbia itself. but december 9th seems to be the best bet right now

Thanks, wombatlikewoah! I heard Cornell will be notice it on Dec. 9, 2010, so may be Columbia’s too.

@wombatlikewoah

First time I’ve ever seen tl;dr used outside of Reddit. :)
