I picked choice H with $100 buckaroos of Flex points. I am not a big boi and I plan on going to the gym, so I didnt think Plan I was pertinent. Now, all I have to do is take a 2*2 photo.

What about u guys?

Yeah, I picked the middle plan too w/ no flex points. I'm probably just gonna use my debit card instead of flex.

lowest. Flex can be easily substituted with real cash (but its good to have some for laundry). Also realize that food points arent refunded fully (only half) above 100 dollars.

Uhm...what? By food points I suppose you mean dining points, correct? I'm not quite sure at to what you are saying. Please elaborate.

Picked the middle plan w/ $50 in flex - can add more later when needed

picked lowest plan figuring i can just buy with cash at the end of the term if i need to.

I think i'll go for the highest since that way my parents will be paying for it.

btw when is all that due?

and what should i do if i dont' have a recent 2 by 2 picture?

also - what other things need to be turned in in the next few weeks?

i chose the cheapest one

there are 2 ways to transfer money to your plan. you can either credit it to your bursar account or charge the additional funds to your credit card.

the bursar account thing can be done at either the dukecard office or the bursar. The value transfer from your credit card or cash can be done at the dukecard office or at any other value transfer station on campus

Guys..I signed up for the dining plan....long time back..but when I checked the site again..it didn't show what I had chosen...and now I don't remember what options I chose...I think I chose plan G..but I don't remember my flex points.

Did they send you a confirmation mail to your Duke account?

nope, nothing for me

hmm..same! I really don't know what to do.

Can you go to the site again and check whether your choices have been saved?

for me it just says that my request has been forwarded... or something like that

its not a big deal :)

hm..my request hasn't been forwarded!!!! :(

Well..I'd better discuss it with my Dad again...

Thanks!

it's rarely an issue to get more money out of your parents for food points - people like me who did the smallest, rarely ordered out and always ate lunch (this is key), ran out of food points. first semester I had my parents add more food points, second semester i lived off the remainder of my flex (about 250 each semester, a good chunk of which paid for duke paraphanalia...e.g. clothing). when i mentioned that i actually ate lunch and therefore ran out of food points, they were fine with it. a lot of people i know NEVER ate lunch, and hence, they were left with hundreds at the end of the semester (you get your first 50 bucks refunded, then only a percentage - therefore people just burn their points away on expensive meals at the waduke).

50 per semester, ie 100

The middle plan/50 flex for me.

Azmodan--you can go to almost any photo store and they will take a passport photo of you. It's not terribly expensive, and they know exactly what to do, and will have it ready in about 15 minutes. That is what our son did. Good luck at Duke!

yeah it cost 10 buckaroonies where I got it. I just hope they received my dining plan app. I did not get a confirmation in the mail or anything.

Pardon my stupidity, but where is the link to sign up for a dining plan, or are we supposed to email them?
