I have visited CAL-Berkeley just a few weeks ago and I like the ambience. well, needless to point out that it's globally reputable too (!!!). But my relatives who mostly live in Texas are all telling me to go to Rice. I would be honest that I have not heard of Rice before but I now know that it's such a big name school in the US. If I get accepted to study economics or business in the two schools, which do you think is the better school, in ALL aspects -- reputation, career after college, etc, etc...

btw, I want to work in Asia perhaps in Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila, etc, after college.. despite that, i am not closing my door to work in the US if there's a good opportunity.

Ummm, i think your positng may do you a little better under a diff category, i.e. not Northwestern University. If you have questions on NU, people can help you here..none of us go to the other schools which are both great, but thats about all my info...

I would go with rice, i'm sure they have better job placement seeing as they are a small, private school. I also know someone who goes there and he always seems to get extremely lucrative internships, etc.

rice is an excellent school, basically the biggest decisison is between public and private schools. if you saw sj mercury news, front page headline was saying that berkeley was overcrowded, and that lecture halls were overflowing an dpeople had to sit on the stairs in class. size matters (in context...)
