<p>HOw do you know which dorm you recieved from ut? i applied at 6:01 A.M on monday but it never asked me which dorm i wanted or which one i recieved. I already paid them, and recieved email but it hasn't told me my dorm yet. Do i have to be admitted first then i recieve my dorm, or how does the process work out? THank you</p>
<p>You don't receive your dorm assignments for another year, soo have fun waiting!.. You have to go back now or whenever and pick your top 5 choices, and what kind of room you want. They don't look at them until summer of next year. You obviously haven't been admitted yet, so how could they give out dorm assignments already.. Regardless my anticipation for housing was way more than my acceptance even though I wasn't in top 10 percent.</p>
<p>I join in with mikeisag's question - whicjh is WHEN do you get to choose your dorm choices? I suspect it is when you are admitted, but that won't be unti l the summer. When you get admitted, is that when they ask you for your choices and do you get preference if you applied early (like mikeisag sis)?</p>
<p>So what good does it do to us applying really early then... do they take the people that applied from earliest to latest and put them on a list and people that applied earliest get the dorms they want or what?</p>
<p>Yes, they give you the choice you want based on how early you applied.</p>
<p>you can select your choices after you receive a housing contract ... comes a few weeks after you get admitted i believe. however, you wont know what dorm you are in until mid summer before school starts.</p>
<p>In my experience, I got the choice to pick my dorm shortly after I received my housing contract. Also, the earlier you apply to best chances of your getting your 1st choice dorm. The $50 application fee can also be waived for those that need assistance, so please don't let that discourage you from applying early. Call our financial aid or housing office and inquire about this is necessary.</p>
