I am applying soon and I just wanted to know which one is the best for me. I would want one that is fairly close to everything and large in size.

Jester fits both of those criteria. Or San Jac to a lesser extent.

Jester is probably a good choice for you, then. San Jacinto is also probably a good option. I’ve been in both a lot due to friends at UT and I’ve done the Longhorn Saturday thing a couple times, and I honestly liked Jester. I know some people don’t like it but I thought it wasn’t that bed…the only thing I didn’t like was the beds! The pull out…eh. I visited a few weeks ago and our tour guide for Jester said they’re renovating some rooms and making the beds lofted but don’t bank on getting a lofted one just yet. I like Jester because it was close to the gym, close to a lot of the classes I’d probably be taking as a freshman, not far from Guadalupe where Tyler’s and all that is, close to the PCL (library).

Hey, don’t dismiss the pull out beds! They’re definitely the most convenient… they turn into “sofas”, so you can actually seat guests in your room!
