Which dorm is the best?

Which dorm has the hottest girls, the best rooms, and the best people?

LOL Thanks

you dont get to pick

People change from year to year. Blackwell and Randolph have AC but small rooms. The rest are pretty much the same. The new one (Belltower) looks real nice.

belltower is for pratt i think

Have they announced that they are putting only Pratt students in the new dorm? They didn't mention that at BDD.

No I think they built belltower because they were admitting more kids into Pratt, and thus have a bigger class than next year and need another dorm. My understanding of it was not that Belltower would have all pratt kids. Also one of the dorms that was here this year(epworth) will not be used for housing this year, presumably due to the existance of the new dorm.

If you're a freshman, you'll be on the East Campus. Alspaugh, Bassett, Brown, and Pegram are pretty much the same. I haven't been inside the other, newer dorms, though.
Brown has the computer lab and is closest to the union, but Alspaugh and Giles, I think, are closest to the library. I guess the latter only matters if you're a geek like me. Giles and the dorms towards the entrance are closer to most of the classroom buildings.

They're not making the Bell Tower an all Pratt dorm. That would be just about the worst thing they could do. They like to have a good mix of interests in every dorm.

This link has info on the dorms.

so which buildings have the biggest rooms?

how much smaller are the airconditioned dorms as compared to the non air conditioned dorms?

The airconditioned dorm rooms are pretty small. Like doubles are between 30 and 70 sq ft smaller than the non ac ones.

I've heard that doubles in the AC dorms (Blackwell and Randolph) are around 140 sq. ft. My double in Pegram was 205...

is 205 sq ft average? or are some rooms bigger

Id say that most are prolly smaller than 205. On east a few doubles are bigger but Id say you should expect a double with 180-200 sq feet.

am i the only one for whom square footage is meaningless?

Probably Yes

hey on the duke housing website it says that only one hall has the single sex floor option, is that the same hall as the substance free one? or are they two different halls?

No. Last year Brown was substance free and Southgate and Jarvis were single sex [which just means one sex per floor]. Next year, Southgate will also be substance free, but I don't know about single sex.
