Which dorm should I apply for??

Hi all!! I recently visited LSU and fell in love, but I don't know which dorm to choose when I apply for housing. I visited a few (Laville, Herget, and the college of science residential hall, and was told Kirby Smith was a solid choice) and I like Laville a lot, but I'm not sure if I will get into the Honors College, so I need a back up plan. So does anyone have any advice on what I should choose??
Oh and I'm a 17 year old guy and I have no clue what I want to major in...keeping my options open!!

I will be a Freshman in a couple of weeks, and I decided to live in my major’s residential college. Reasons: get to take two classes in my building, building was relatively new, and study group opportunities with others in my major. My first two classes will be in my building starting at 8:30 am, so I will not have far to go to get to those classes. Next year I hope to move into an on campus apartment.

Your major’s residential college is worth consideration. Also check to see if there is a dorm for first year experience or undecided majors.

I’m a mom who has some friends whose sons just started LSU (I too attended there a long time ago). One friend’s son has chosen Broussard (close to the stadium) while others have chosen Herget (it is next door to the freshman girls’ dorm, Miller). Another friend’s son who was majoring in petroleum engineering chose the Engineering Dorm (North Hall) and it sounded nice. Good luck!
