I got accepted for Fall '08 but i dont know what Dorm to choose, i visited the campus durring their open house in Spring 07' and i opted out of the Dorm tour due to my sister complaining about how hot it is...lol but anyway. Like i said, i dont know which residence hall to choose (money is not an option)I do want to live on campus my Freshman yr. Also do all residence halls have the same kind of bed? do different halls have bigger beds or are they all the same?

Thanks in Advance

This is the webpage with all of the communities/dorms on it:
http://www.housing.ucf.edu/communities.php

If you click on the links, you will see photos and floorplans of each type of room and dorm at UCF.
Most of the rooms have an extra long twin bed (which is typical of college dorms) but the Towers at Golden Knight Plaza (four apartment style dorms) have full size (double) beds in each room (and the rooms are all singles). Obviously, the Towers are the most expensive dorm and for that reason many kids opt for the more traditional suite style dorms.

If you want the experience of having a roommate (most rooms are doubles that are part of a two room suite) you could look into:
Libra- older dorm, very social and near the dining facility
Apollo -oldest dorm but renovated, also closer to dining area and classes
Hercules/Nike (Academic Village)- newer and very pretty, near outdoor pool and rec center, further walk to classes but not unreasonable.
These dorms have suites that are usually two double rooms that share a bathroom (One toilet/shower for 4 kids).

Lake Claire is apartment style and is located between Greek Row and the classes. Each apartment is 4 small single rooms (with xl twin beds) that share a kitchen, living room and two bathrooms and two sinks (two kids share a bathroom and sink). The Laundry is in a centralized common area.

The Towers is apartment style and is located near the stadium. Each apartment is also four single bedrooms but each has a FULL size bed. Each apartment has a kitchen and livingroom and most of the apartments have two bathrooms but 4 sinks (two kids share a bathroom but each gets their own sink). There is one or two 4 bedroom/4 bath apartments on each floor but those usually go to upper classmen (or handicapped). The laundry is on each floor.

Hope this helps…really you need to just click around on the housing website. We went on a tour of every dorm and they do look like the web pictures (except for Lake Claire…the wall are painted cinderblock that we didn’t notice on the website).
