I’m a freshman got accepted into college of science. I want to live at somewhere close to the gym and has air-conditioning dorm, and mostly freshmen. Can anybody help me with this? I’ve never visited Purdue, and I don’t know which one I should chose.
Closest to the gym with AC would be Shreve. Earhart and Harrison aren’t much farther though. The really close ones don’t have AC (Wiley, Tark, Meredith) or don’t allow freshmen (3rd Street).
If you’re Honors, you must be in Shreve (has AC, 5 minute walk from the gym, entirely freshman).
I’m not sure if you’re allowed, Earhart (which is mostly made up of learning communities; you should apply for one if you can) is the same thing as Shreve, but adjacent to Shreve to the south.
As a freshman, you’re not going to have much say in what dorm you get. Unless you’re in a learning community with a guaranteed residential component.
