<p>I'm hearing a lot of different things about dorms, which is a big problem.
I'm really confused at to which dorm to choose. I'm leaning towards Furnald Hall but I heard they have community bathrooms and that's a big turn off for me.
Anyone have any suggestions? or important info about the housing?</p>
<p>there are a lot of threads here - but honestly, i would go to days on campus, talk to students.</p>
<p>each dorm has a different character, but in the end a) its just for one year you move after that, b) if you really don’t like your assignment you can transfer rooms (there is almost always someone somewhere else that feels the exact opposite as you).</p>
<p>if you want a more personal and quiet place, furnald is great, if you want a more communal and chill place then the LLC is great, if you desire the most generic first year experience it will be john jay or carman - they both can be loud and rowdy on weekends, and are known for giving you insta-friends because of the large number of students on each floor.</p>
