Hi,

I will be an exchange student at UNC next semester. Have no clue of where to live!?!
In general which dorms are considered to be best in terms of party/location/price/standard?

Thanks!

You should post your question on the UNC forum as you will get more replies:

Also, go back a number of pages to around Jan. - May 2011? There are many threads asking “Which dorm to choose?” when incoming freshman had to submit their dorm request form. There’s also a “UNC Housing” page on Facebook with many Q&A’s and 100+ room photos.

All dorms are priced the same unless you choose Granville Towers. If you have an option, you should try for just about anything on North or Mid-Campus unless you REALLY like to walk long distances to classes or maybe you truly want to be on South Campus where most of the freshman are assigned and there’s a more party/social atmosphere.

Also, go to UNC’s housing website to learn more about each individual dorm, rules, floor plans, etc. [UNC Chapel Hill Housing and Residential Education](http://housing.unc.edu/)
