My roommate and I are trying to decide what dorm to stay in this fall as freshman. We already ruled out San Jac and Duren due to both of us being on tight budgets. I'm not too interested in staying in Jester West but would consider Jester East. So basically it comes down to Kinsolving, Moore Hill and BRP. Which of these dorms would be the best for two freshman girls and why? I can't find very much info on Moore Hill and BRP because they are smaller. So any info, pros and cons, or facts about these dorms would be helpful. Thanks!

I am also curious regarding BRP. Furthermore, how difficult is it to get into BRP and some of the other smaller dorms? I know San Jacinto is difficult, for example, but have not heard much regarding the smaller ones.

My friend stayed in Prather. The building was designed about 700 years ago, the hallways are small, and not all the rooms are the same size. His room was the smallest I’ve ever seen. Would not recommend.

Kinsolving is all girls, and is far away from San Jac where I lived, so I never went over there.

Moore Hill is pretty decent. I had a friend who lived there. Really good location

I stayed in Prather and loved it during the summer when I started college for my freshman year. The cons about the dorms on the southside of campus is that things will be crowded and loud during the games.

But if you want something that really feels like home, go to Littlefield. It was by far, the best. Very clean, lots of antique decorations, a library and house-like living room. I miss it!

Im currently staying in Roberts and love it!! The rooms are pretty big and you have walk in closets. Only downside is that you dont have a sink in your room and have to brush your teeth in the community bath.

I lived in Kins my first year, and I loved it. Those girls will forever be my sisters and I would totally recommend living there to any girl!

*Quick note: Littlefield’s rooms are closet sized compared to Kins. All my friends in Littlefield were hating big time on our Kins rooms haha!

Last year Littlefield became a part of Honors Quad.
