Which dorm?

Should I go for? I'm looking for something cheapish, liveable, meaning I don't need a private bathroom but I don't want to be showering in something more disgusting than the city sewers and has a good social scene for those who enjoy the stereotypical weekend of a college student every now and then. Noise is not a problem unless its so bad that you cant get any sleep even with ear plugs in, from what I can tell Jester is the place for me but would just like some input from any current students.

im an incoming freshman to. at first i was dead set against jester but i think im going to pick that one. im alittle worried though i always hear how crappy it is…but at the same time i think ill get the “real” college expericne there. this girl i knew told me that there were to many people crammed in there, theirs always crazy stuff going on, but thats what college is about, and she LOVED it, she said her funnest memories and best friends were made there. so yes its crappy but its college, your going for the experience not the asthestics.

Hehe clear lake I live in that area too, what school do you go to?

clear lake high school lol you?

simpkins is clearly the best dorm at UT.

lol yes i know them!
i heard simpkins is like alot of upperclassmen though

From what I’ve heard simpkins is all of the no-lifers who do nothing but study and go to class save for a few exceptions, no thank you.

It’s Simkins* not Simpkins and I currently live their. People here are friendly and the people here are pretty cool. What ds7592 is partially true- people in SIMKINS study and focus on their grades and are well rounded. Most people hang around in the TV lounge and play video games , so their are not “no-lifers”. The bathrooms are really clean and standardized, which was a surprise to me who, as a freshman, thought that community bath would be terrible.
