Which economics department is the easiest?

Hi, I am not a “book smarts” person by any means. I have a 3.6 GPA in community college, but I am honestly afraid of being on academic probation, and failing the last couple of required pre-req’s of my major once I transfer, and have to do declare in something else once I transfer.

I understand uni is harder, but is it so hard that compared to community college it’s night and day? Would I be having to hit the library everyday with no social life?

I’m a business/economics major, with the plan of following a macro-finance track if I do decide to attend a UC for transfer.

So with all that said, which schools have a relatively doable program for me? It’s not like I don’t study, but I just don’t want to kill my self with all the studying like some people do. l will apply, but probably not attend CAL or UCLA even if I do get accepted.

but out of all these specific UC’s

UCB (Haas Business)
UCLA (Bus/econ)
UCSD (Econ)
UCSB (Econ)
UCD (Managerial econ or econ)
UCI (Business Administration)

which UC’s would be the easiest for me to graduate? Any experience from a previous transfer? Thanks

Well, Haas isn’t econ. It’s also by far the hardest to get into.

If you do get into Haaa, it’s not hard to do well. But it’s very, very hard to do great. It’s not easy coming across an A.

ECON 10A is brutal. UCSB! Maybe go there

@briank82 Yeah I know haas isn’t econ, it’s business adminstration. How hard is it you think to just pass and graduate with a C? Do you have an expeirence or know anybody from CC that went to Haas? Aso @NASA2014 yes I’ve heard ECON 10A at UCSB is brutal. If it is brutal why would I go there haha, I’m looking for the most lenient out of the choices :stuck_out_tongue:

I think you would like Davis.

Davis

Bad way to think of it, but I’ve heard Davis’ managerial economics is on the easier side.

I’ve heard good things about Davis’ economics department. My history teacher from HS actually told me to take a few Econ classes there but I absolutely don’t like Econ so I try to avoid the subject. But yeah, I think you’d like Davis’ Econ :o
