Which EC's should I put on my app?...

Hey guys,

I can put six EC's on my application, but I have many more than that; the list below is narrowed. Please give me your opinion on what six I should list, preferrably in their order of your perceived importantance.

Thanks!

Varsity Cross-Country
So/Jr/Sr; voted Most Inspirational; 2nd place team at State; 14th individual at Region Championships

Varsity Track & Field
So/Jr/Sr; 7th at City Championships in 800 M; most likely captain

Varsity Cheerleading
Fr/So; one of only two freshman to make the squad; 1st place at State; 5th at Nationals

National Honors Society
Jr/Sr; Vice-President; head of three committees

A Community-Service Club
Jr/Sr; Vice-President; raised over $8000 for various charities

School Ambassador
Sr; nothing really just good grades, good leadership, etc

Calculus Club
Jr/Sr; General Officer; helped plan camp

School Book Club
So/Jr/Sr; Treasurer

Civil Disobedience Club
Jr; Treasurer; petitioned school board for student rights

Interact
Jr; Historian; various community service activities for underprivleged children in Mexico

That's tough. You could always just put a "mini-resume" in the Additional Information section (or attach it if you're not using the Common App).

Here's what I think (no particular order), and why:

•** Varsity Cross-Country** - varsity, 3 years, awards, etc
•** Varsity Track & Field*- same reasons as XC
* A Community-Service Club*- leadership, raised $
* Interact OR School Book Club*- Interact for your community service projects or Book Club for leadership, 3 year commitment
* National Honors Society*- leadership position, otherwise pretty standard
* School Ambassador or Cheerleading**- Ambassador if your one of the only ones in your school to get this or Cheerleading because it's varsity and your squad got 1st in state.
