<p>Engineering/premed is possible but I feel it is only practical with a BME major only because the field is inherently linked with Medicine. </p>
<p>Though keep in mind that you can “schedule” your classes to try to alleviate some GPA woes. For example, take the MCAT earlier (which might be better since Ochem will be fresh on your mind) and then send your applications during your junior year/summer. This way, the transcript you send will only have your junior year grades.</p>
<p>Of course, most schools will need a midyear report and you will still have to maintain a high GPA until you apply.</p>
