which engineering grad school?

o...k, no need to get your panties in a bunch, bud. i didnt direct that comment toward any school in particular....i simply said UMD, VT, and Lehigh are the best of what i applied to. true, temple is pretty damn far down on the list, not even in US News report on best grad schools for civil (while all the other are....i think lol). and yes, it IS my last choice, for obvious reasons.

temples civil program is pretty crappy in comparison to the others listed, but i know my dad said hes worked with temple grads, so im not bashing it. though i do wish my dad told me this b4 i accepted bloomsburg and rejected temples undergrad civil program :/

that doesnt even matter anyways. i went to bloom which obviously sucks for any kind of sciences (except exercise science....if you can call that a science), HOWEVER i have already been accepted to lehigh :) i didnt post it in this thread cause i made a new one. but yes, im in lehigh for sure. i saw the campus and the ATLSS lab is pretty cool, as is fritz. i honestly expected it to be a little nicer considering the tuition, but whatever, a degree that says LEHIGH U Master of Structural Engineering really takes you places in the field. im gonna wait for VT and UMD before i officially accept though. and im not expecting to get into either anyway...

Well duh, you have some of the top engineering programs on there, but our engineering program is far from 'crappy'.

CM of course

define "far"? its not in the top 77 in the nation (which is as far as US News goes). Im sure its not the worst out there, but i would never consider it good. im not saying you couldnt get a good educatio either. but the job opportunities and learning experiences are nowhere near what they would be with the other schools i listed...even UDel which ranked like 50th or something. U Del is a good engineering school. Temple is known for medicine. theres really no arguing it. im not trying to offend you or temple. but convincing me that temple has a good engineering program is just about as likely as me getting a full academic scholarship to Stanfords graduate civil program...

Dr. Horse,

didnt get in :/ those bastards didt even wait for my 3rd letter of recommendation b4 they decided to reject me. kinda messed up IMO. that coulda be a CONVINCING LETTER!!! lol

well i got into virginia tech now too. so its between lehigh and VT, screw the other schools. input?
