I know my essay needs improvement. Which essay service is worth the money and quality? If you’ve used one, was it worth it?

i used essayedge.com for one of my apps. They did correct grammar and diction errors; however, they barely made any content changes. So, was is helpful ? definitely yes! Was it worth it? probably not. I just used it for my dream school and that was it. I probably would not have used it if my english teacher had a few minutes to look over my essays. I go to a public high school with over 3000 students and teachers barely have time to look at you.

which service did you use?

lol lemmethink you are BLIND

Some students have posted "before" and "after" essays the past couple of years. None of the essay services are worth it, imo. In some cases, their revisions made the essay materially worse.

Then there's the little problem that the essay services are just doing copy editing...in many cases they're substantially creating what is supposed to be your own work.

Don't use 'em. Find a perceptive teacher--doesn't have to be an English teacher--who is a good writer herself/himself and is willing to read your paper.
In general, avoid your parents unless they can stay detached and not wade into it.

Aside from spelling and punctuation, I think I queried two word choices on my D's main essay. Independent of the paper itself, we talked about structural alternatives and the pros and cons of different themes.

I wouldn't waste money on a service. Find a credible English teahcer, or ask a good friend to help. You might even be able to get some help from people on CC.
