I have written two essays, one about my passions for physics(not shown anywhere in the application) and one about working for my parents at the restaurant. My English teacher proofread both of my essays and said the one about physics is better, but she probably doesn't know anything about the application process, so I am in a deep wonder now. However, I have spent a month on the physics one and only two weeks on the restaurant one. Which one do you think will better complete my application?

need more context. but generally, I would go with the physics one.

I liked the physics one better, too. However, I felt like I need something more personal then just my passion for physics.

The better essay is the one that is more personal, detailed, honest and revealing.

The amount of time that you spent writing an essay, or the topic of the essay, really doesn't matter.
