Which essay to choose?

After writing a 500 word supplemental essay for a school, I realized it may well be better than my main Personal Essay on the common app. So here's my dilemma: my original personal essay speaks more to my interests and future plans. I'd give it an A for content, but B+ for originality/creativity. It's a pretty straightforward essay about my intentions on combining history and art for an interdisciplinary major, which I'd use to become a museum curator or museum exhibit designer. It talks a bit about museums in the digital age; art in the digital age.

On the other hand my supplemental essay speaks only to my interest in anthropology, which I'm considering for a minor. I'd give the supp an A for originality but as far as content goes, it doesn't mention my intended major or future plans.

My original essay incorporates a work experience, so I could condense it to 150 words for the Short Answer section on the common app. (?)

So which should I use for my main common app essay? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance:-)

Why not spend your remaining time making your main essay a bit more catchy and creative? Find an attention-grabbing opening, or a concrete example to make it more lively. They know you are highly likely to change your major (and minor) and your career plans, so the essay is really more about your personality and what you bring to the school: are you creative, interesting, articulate, adventurous, whatever…

Good point. Thanks M’s Mom!
