Which Essay?!?!?!?

I'm writing my college essays for JHU and I don't know which essays I should send for the two topics.

Something about yourself/Interests:
1. My wanting to pursue boxing.
Or
2. How my grandma helped my find my culture.

Why you chose your major?: Is this good?
1. Internations Relations with Pre-Med courses because my Aunt told me about the death of her son and since I was five I wanted to become a doctor, but I was not sure what kind of doctor. Her story influenced my decision to become an OB/GYN in oversea countries and work for the UN.

All this in 250 words max. If I did 360 words is that overstepping boundaries?

Thanks

You don’t have tp read them. I just need an opinion on which is less generic.

It’s very hard to tell, from our point of view.

I mean…wanting to pursue boxing could be less generic if the writer writes it from a unique perspective. Same goes for the other one.

I can imagine very mundane essays on both topics. I can also imagine the most riveting essays on them.

Sorry if the answer really didnt help you, but unless we have more information, nothing anyone tells you here will be of any use, as they will all be speculative.

Thank you. Its kind of what I am looking for. Anyone else?
