To the people who took both exams, which exam is harder: AP Chemistry or AP Physics B?

Physics B, for sure. Chem is a cakewalk.

^^^ seconded.

Well, Chem is easier in the sense that you can memorize most of the things…
Physics B is a tricky little thing. Makes you think, definitely, and actually pay close attention to the questions XD

Actually, there are a lot of people out there who thinks Chem is harder.

Many people think Chem > Physics C (Mech / E & M/ both) > Physics B

Well, I’m more of a quantitative person, so I saw physics b as easier b/c it was almost all calculations, whereas chem is in the middle - both qualitative and quantitative, so “harder” really depends on what kind of person you are

I think chem is probably harder.

Physics C (Mech / E & M/ both) > Chem > Physics B

I agree, chem is harder. If you don’t quite remember something in physics, you can usually derive it from what you do remember. If you don’t quite remember something in chemistry, you can’t do much about it. For the same reason, I actually think physics C is easier than B; the more things you learn only by memorizing a formula, the more problematic it is when, as inevitably happens, you forget one.

Chem > Physics B > Physics C

Chem was difficult… but aced it with a 5 (with a lots of practice). It’s all about practice, i am sure if you practice enough both will seem easy.

I’ve heard often that Chemistry’s harder.

Physics B; Chem is hard but not as hard as PB

hmm well one it depends on your practice/ knowledge because many of my friends have done extremely well on chem(with practice) but physics was extremely hard for them since they didnt cover much material. work hard and you’ll do fine
