Which Extracurricular?

I am a sophomore in high school. Last year, i played baseball and participated in science olympiad. That was because my SO team didn't make nationals. This let me play baseball in the spring. But, i don't think this will be the case this year because the SO team is really strong. I was just wondering does a varsity sport (i think i can go varsity) look better on my resume or does SO look better.

P.S. I am ahead a lot in science than the rest of my grade. I am ahead by a year in math too. I would like to get into an Ivy league school. And by the way these are not my only ec's i was only wondering which one would be better

If you are pretty sure that your SO team will place in states, my personal opinion would be to with SO. However, it depends on your intended major. If you would like to major in the sciences, that would definitely strengthen your application. If not, either one would be the same I’d think.

Science olympiad

thanks! i think i want to become a doctor.

Than I’d definitely go with Science Olympiad!

I was just wondering… I thought that colleges wanted a variety. Since i am in a number of tutoring programs, am working at a hospital and am part of redcross, wouldnt it be better if i didn’t do another academic EC? And also my schedule is pretty rigorous academically
