Which Freshman Dorm is Right for Me?

Just a note: You won’t have any say in what kind of room you’re in. The only way to do that is to request people to room with, but i’m not sure how many you can request.

what dorm would be good for me. I like to party hard :stuck_out_tongue: (no drugs, smoke), & study hard! I love politics and intl relations. what dorm do u suppose would be good for me? thanx :)

linase,
as a freshman entering the Elliott School, just as many of your classes will be around campus as they will be at Elliott. Madison and Craweford are great locations and only a few minutes walk to Elliott.

Mitchell is another option. DD is there after having started in Thurston. Kids are packed in like sardines in Thurston and with most rooms being more than two to a room, it is hard to be on the same rhythm in terms of who is a partier and who is a studier. It IS noisy around the clock and it is party central.

Mitchell is right between Thurston and Elliott and the rooms are singles with sinks and closets in them. Shared bath showers on hall. It takes no time to make great friends on your hall and you are able to hang out and be social or go in to your own room and close the door to study or sleep. And you are always free to go to Thurston right next door for the party scene.

The Vern is a great location for freshman as well. You always have the option of playing in the city or partying wherever, but it is nice to come home to a place that feels like a community, more like home, and where the surroundings are comfortable and friendly. Newer rooms, better facilities, you can’t go wrong here.

What about Lafayette? I’m stuck between that one and Madison

Yeah, I was going to put Potomac as my #1 choice, no thoughts about it, but then I learned that Lafayette will be open this year after being newly renovated. So, I kinda want to know more about the newly renovated Lafayette before I make my decision.
