which gpa should I use?

<p>Do colleges have a preference between weighted and unweighted GPAs? My school goes on a 4 point scale, should I use the 3.75 unweighted or the 4.5 weighted on my common app? Would it make a difference?</p>

<p>You can decide … there is a button you select if your GPA is weighted or unweighted. Generally, students choose to use the GPA that their school uses for class ranking. Some schools do not weight GPAs, so those students use the unweighted GPA.</p>
