Which group in mechanical engineering department has better programs?

in mechanical engineering department in Boston university if we want to rank these groups for someone that wants to apply for mechanical engineering department:</p>

-Biomechanics

-MEMS and Nanotechnology </p>

<p>which sections do you think are stronger and are doing better than other sections?
the purpose of this question is to know your overall ranking for these groups but if you need some parameters maybe these can help you to rank this groups:
-which section has the better and more laboratories?
-which section is doing better research?
-which section is more active and in which section do you think students have more activities,and are publishing more journals?
-which section has better and scientifically-stronger professors?
-number of professors and students in which section is more?
-number of international students?</p>

<p>I have no idea what the exact numbers of labratories and professors is, but since BU has a great biomedical eng program, I’d imagine biomechanics would be strong. MEMS is also a group I’ve gotten a lot of exposure to, and they have several labs. Nanotechnology was just introduced as a concentration this past year, so that will only continue to grow. And manufacturing is also another strong part of the mechanical eng at BU. Seniors in manufacturing take on projects given to them by companies for their senior design project.</p>
