Which Gruber's book for Math?

Gruber's Math Workbook

Gruber's SAT 2400

Gruber's SAT Guide 2011

I know the answer should be obvious, but, in previous threads, the answer varies.
I am looking for math strategies, not practice tests.

Depends, whats your score?

I went with the Gruber’s SAT guide 2011 because it contains very good grammar tips and lessons as well as that extremely helpful word list…

My son hasn’t taken the SAT’s yet. We already have the 2011 book. Just wasn’t sure if that was THE Gruber’s Math everyone talks about.

bumping…

I hated Gruber. It is trash.
Gruber and McGrawhill are the worst.

Gruber’s good for math only. I’d recommend TPR and Barron’s 2400. If you must buy Gruber’s, but the math workbook.

I don’t recommend Gruber to anyone who already knows the material. If your son has ever taken a practice test, a 650+ would definitely mean Gruber would be absolutely useless. I think it’s better towards people with a very poor starting score, but for me at least, it really didn’t help.

What do you recommend to someone, who’s scoring ~700 in the SAT math? (I don’t think I have a “concept” problem.) Just a time problem, which directly leads to “low accuracy”.

^
Barron’s 2400 is good for students who are scoring 700+
GRUBER’S (workbook) is good to get from 400 to 550+

I recommend practice. Just do more sections. 650-800 is generally reckless mistakes and timing. With each mistake just remember to teach yourself how to avoid that exact mistake and future similar mistakes. For example, I messed up once because I didn’t read the word problem carefully enough: Future - ALWAYS REREAD THE WORD PROBLEM, not only the question.

I got 800 a couple times, not consistent though. Starting was 700.

Don’t know about Barron’s 2400. It’s not like we don’t know how to solve the problem right? Just stupid (like adding wrong) mistakes. My tip for stupid mistakes: don’t be an idiot. Use a calculator to double check for idiocy.
