Which history class?

Hi everyone,

Incoming freshman going for Mass Comm. major.
I will need to (not sure which semester) pick between 4 history classes as a prerequisite requirement. Does anyone have experience in one, more than one, or know people who do?

I'd like some advice on which class to take:

History 7B
History 124A
History 124B
History 131B

I know the course descriptions, but I'd like some personal feedback.
Thanks very much!

Bit confused - others, please correct me here. Aren't courses labelled 100+ upper-divison, and available only to juniors and seniors?

No, upper division courses in many departments are open to freshman though it depends on the individual course itself. I don't believe history courses need prequisites so if you want to you can start in upper division.

How are lower and upper division courses different in terms of difficulty, work load, etc?

Yeah, good question.

Definitely take history 7B if Litwack teaches it. He is a Pulitzer Prize winner.

is there a way to find out classes taught by Nobel Prize winners? Just curious.

Take 6A, now.

Search the internet (wikipedia is good) to see who is a Nobel laureaute. See if they are teaching a class. Presto! :)
