-National Merit Commended
so i need to leave one out and im thinking its between the 3rd, 4th, and 6th one
If you are going to self-report your AP scores, the ‘AP Scholar’ award isn’t really providing any new info; AdComms will see your achievement in that area from your scores.
An award is ‘national’ if you competed against students across a large multi-state region or nation-wide for the honor. If it’s something a congressman can give to schools in his district, but your school chooses the top students to award it to, then it is school-level. (I don’t know what those awards are specifically).
if you are also sending in strong SAT scores, i would leave out the national merit commended. They would already get a sense of your test scores with your SATs.
well if your ACT was strong, it isn’t as important to put the national merit commended. however, if you think it would help, maybe take out the ap scholar one
