<p>My D just started senior year, and she is wondering which course choice is better for her. She has enrolled to College-Level Multi-variable Calculus, AP English Literature, AP Econ, Honor Physics, Honor Sociology, Japanese, Computer Science Research and, for the last, she wants to choose between AP Music Theory and AP Stat. Her passion was computer science and that's what she wants to study in college. She also participated in school orchestra (instrument) for 3 years continuously. Given this background, which one would be a better choice in the eye of college admission officer? I do not mean easy vs. difficult or GPA issue,
but about continuous pursuit of passion. Stat. to me sounds very practical and
useful for whatever she will do at college and beyond. What we are wondering is
whether Music theory is viewed as continuation of her orchestra activity. We'd
appreciate any prompt thoughtful tips.</p>
