Which is a more impacted major: kinesiology or biology?

I am not sure which major i’d apply under, but I really want to go to this school but afraid I won’t get in.

If kinesiology is more impacted, I’ll apply biology regular decision.

If biology is more impacted, I’ll apply kinesiology early decision (because that’s what I really want to study.)

GPA: 4.2 weighted, 3.85 unweighted.
SAT 1: 1230
ACT: 27, but looking to get a 28 or 29 next time.

If you are sure that Cal Poly is your first choice, then apply early decision. Some say it doesn’t make a difference, but I feel differently. My daughter applied early decision for Biology with about the same stats as you and she was accepted.

kinesiology is way more impacted at state schools in general and especially at cal poly because it is more applied. It honestly doesn’t make much scene to study bio at a CSU because it is more research and science based (UC’s). Apply bio and you will have a better shot.
