which is best? Umass- Amherst, UConn, or Uni. of Delaware

I am deciding which of these 3 college to apply to. I am not sure which would be better suited for me. I want a safe campus and town, a party school but not too insane, activities around campus, and a lively town (it doesn't have to necessarily be a huge city)near by with restaurants, entertainment, mall/shops etc.. I also want a uni. more highly regarded overall for being better in all education fields. (for me specifically business and psychology.) Any suggestions and help please?

can you afford all three? have you run the net price calculators?

Hi, I have not checked the total price of each school. But money is not the first issue at hand for me. its what was listed in my question above.

Money may not be the first issue for you right now, but it’s always the greatest. Find out what you can afford. My guess is that you live in the NE region of the US. I don’t know whats instate for you, but if any of these schools are, you should probably pick that school. All 3 are great schools, you can’t go wrong.

Sounds like you haven’t visited any of these schools yet? You really should.

These are my impressions of the 3 schools having a son that is a current sophomore at UCONN in Mech Eng and having 2 kids that applied to UMass and a daughter who has visited UDel and is planning to apply there also.

Overall academics wise, I think UCONN is the best of the 3, however for Business, UMass has a very good business school. The town of Amherst is a nice college town with shops and restaurants and UMass has a great transportation system to get around the area to visit malls, the other colleges in the area, etc

UDel had a much nicer campus than I expected, nice buildings and green spaces. Train station on campus to go south to Baltimore and DC or north to Philly, NYC and beyond. There is a nice stretch of several blocks with shops and restaurants right off the campus.

UCONN has a nice campus too. Rolling hills, white fences and livestock grazing in the fields, nice brick buildings. It is in a rural part of CT about 1/2 hr from Hartford. They are building a little town center right off the campus with a couple of restaurants, a grocery store, services (bank, medical services, book store, etc), pizza place, burger place, etc. Here is the website on the town center http://www.storrscenter.com/</a>

You really need to visti though.
