Which is best?

For the ACT,
McGraw Hill sucks. I did one book with 10 practice tests and ranged from scores of 34 to 36. On the real September ACT, I failed miserably. The book was WAY easier.

SO,
does anyone know which prep book is the best? I heard Princeton Review and Barron are pretty good, but what else?

Just focus on the red book.

That’s what I did - I bought the new book and the old one so I had 7 or 8 tests in total (I only did 4 of them).

I also bought the Barrons 36 but I didn’t find any gains at all in them.

Princetons 1286 and princetons can be helpful also

what are princetons 1286?

and yeah, Barron 36 is decent. I’ve never tried the red one, but that the one I’ll get now, thanks.

The Real ACT Book (Red Book) is definitely the best overall indicator of scores on the ACT, assuming you are taking the tests under a time limit. Don’t forget the free-annual ACT test prep. guide from your local high schools:)

The prep guide, to me, is also WAY easier than the ACT.
Maybe the September ACT was just harder in general? I don’t know. I was like AHH when I got to the test.

if you went through this book (1296, my bad), that probably won’t happen

[1,296 ACT Practice Questions [Book]](http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=princeton+review+1296+act+questions&hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=6729287444520426817)

honestly the best prep, though, is any kind of old released official test you can get your hands on

Oh! okay, I’ll get that one and the Real ACT prep book, both seem promising.
Thanks guys!
