Which is Better at JMU, SAT or ACT scores?

We are trying to decide which scores are better to send, if they are equal? Anyone have any experience with this or know anyone who has? And, does the writing part count much with JMU, we know the Reading and Math Composites are important?

SAT Reading 580, Math 590, Writing 500 or ACT 24

Thanks, Thedears

According to this concordance, your SAT score is higher, so I would just send that.

It looks like JMU does not use the SAT essay component.

John, thank you, that is some really good information.

JMU doesn’t look at the writing portion of the SAT, so only your Math and Reading scores would be reported to them, which are definitely higher. Good luck. (:
