Which is Better- common app or individual apps for colleges?

please answer the question in the thread
please also mention which is more economical and hastle free, given I want to apply for fall 2012

You can’t really choose. Each college follows only one system (at least the ones you will be applying to). Both require the same amount of money (more or less) and both are equally tiring.

thanks tizil
so the common app aint so in true sense??
so there isnt this one app that has all my details and saves me all the work of applying individually?

Depends on the college you are applying to Rajatm. Even in the common app, you might have to fill in supplement applications (depending on the college you are applying to)

It is odd to have two options but the common app choice is there for your commodity since you don’t have to refill all the beginning info. Both with sustain the same format, as in you still have to do the same amount of work required from the college homesite option.

Liveulife, an example of an university which provides applicants options of applying through both the common app and its own application is Drexel.

Remember the VIP application? :p
